Craft Group

Cushions for Oncology

The Bouldercombe Craft Group has made 30 beautiful cushions for the Rockhampton Mater Hospital Oncology unit.

The 30 cushions were presented to RN Susan O'Keeffe, a Registered Nurse from the Oncology Unit.

Funding for this project was provided by the Stanwell Corporation. Their support for the local community is greatly appreciated.

The cushions are for the use of patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

The presentation was followed by morning tea which rounded off an enjoyable morning.

Guests included Representatives of the Bouldercombe Progress Associations well as Councillor Sandra O'Brien from the Rockhampton Regional Council and Cherith Weiss from the Morning Bulletin. Of course don't let us forget the hard-working ladies of the Bouldercombe Craft Group.

Due to previous commitments, representatives of the Stanwell Corporation could not attend unfortunately.

Once again the Craft Group have shown great support for our community. We are proud of these wonderful ladies.
