A quiet rural atmosphere where homes nestle among native trees on small acreage blocks, rubbing shoulders with farms and cattle properties.

MAIL SERVICE 941

BOULDERCOMBE AND SURROUNDING RURAL AREAS

  1. Delivery of mail and parcels 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
  2. Delivery before noon.
  3. Current Mail Contractor Judy and Relief Trisha have been doing this run for 13 years.
  4. Your Mail Contractor (Postie) would like to advise you that under the Mail Contract and because of Workplace, Health and Safety, the Contractor is only allowed to go as far as your mail box which must be placed in correct position outside your fenceline. Your Rural House Number post is a perfect guide to where your mail box should be.
  5. Most articles requiring a signature by the addressee are signed by the Contractor (or Relief) on behalf of the addressee. This saves the addressee a trip to the Post Office at Gracemere to collect parcels.

PLEASE NOTE:
red_dot (1K)   If you would like to personally sign any signature-required articles this is no problem. If you won't be home, or your house is a distance from your mail box, your article will be carded to the Gracemere Post Office and a card will be delivered to you stating same.

red_dot (1K)   Also, over-sized and overweight parcels will be carded to the Post Office at Gracemere.

red_dot (1K)   Your Mail Contractor will collect any mail you want posted. Place in a plastic shopping bag and peg to your mail box. If stamp/s required, place money with letter/s.

MOST IMPORTANT:

red_dot (1K)   Mail boxes must be placed in such a position and height that the Contractor is able to drive up to the box and place the mail in same, without alighting from the vehicle. The time taken by the Contractor to alight from the vehicle is not only a time factor but this extra time becomes an additional delivery time for which the Contractor is not paid.

red_dot (1K)   All mail boxes are to be big enough to take all articles; this includes parcels.

  1. Recommended mail box is a 20 Litre plastic or metal drum.
  2. drum1 (2K)     drum2 (2K)

  3. It is hard to find a mail box that will take over-sized parcels so in most cases these are left at the mail box.
    • Please advise your Contractor if you prefer to have your parcels carded to the Gracemere Post office.
  4. Australia Post now sort in Town, Street and Street Numbers, not Surnames. For prompt delivery of your mail, please ensure that you notify all business and personal contacts of your full correct address, including your Rural House number and street address. This is very important!
  5. If you're going to be away for any length of time please go to your local Post Office (Gracemere) or any other, where you can:
  1. arrange a mail hold - OR
  2. arrange a temporary redirection address - OR
  3. ring your Mail Contractor to have it held.
red_dot (1K)   Any queries, please call Judy on:
49 340 396 between 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. Monday to Friday.
Because of a very early start at 3 A.M. this is the only suitable time for phone calls.
